In print our main product is La Noticia, The Spanish-Language Newspaper, the largest Spanish-language paper between Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA. We have been serving our more than 88,000 readers each week for more than 12 years. La Noticia is the most widely read, the most respected and the most professionally done Spanish-language paper in our footprint. La Noticia is to the Spanish speaking community what The Charlotte Observer is to the English speaking community: The most reliable source of information. La Noticia offers an invaluable service to the Latino community. Our mission is to provide our readers with news on what’s happening in their new home, and to serve as a bridge of communication between them and the community at large. We understand that they are new to this country and rely on La Noticia to get them informed and acquainted with the laws, customs, and culture of their new home. We accept this responsibility and investigate issues in immigration, education, health, etc., that we know are important to them, never inflating news or misleading people. We realize that we help our readers shape opinions on issues, so we make absolutely sure that we provide them with the most accurate facts about the issues at hand. We also produce Ventana Mágica, a magazine with information to educate Latino parents on how to be better parents. Ventana Mágica provides them with the tools that they need to help their children be successful in a bi cultural and bilingual environment. Through an strategic partnership with the most popular Spanish language radio station in the region: Leader in Radio 1030 AM, we produce a weekly radio show called “Informativo La Noticia” (News from La Noticia) which airs every Wednesday morning.

We also organize the Latin American Excelente Awards, an annual gala created to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Latino business people and their supporters. We have been organizing Excelente for the last eleven years. All proceeds from Excelente go to the Latino Students Scholarship Fund of La Noticia Foundation.

La Noticia Foundation
Is the charitable arm of La Noticia, Inc. The mission of La Noticia Foundation is to provide scholarships to Latino students with the grades and the desire to go to college but without the financial means to do so. We are very happy to report that in 2009 La Noticia Foundation awarded 14 scholarships to Latinos studying at universities across the state of North Carolina.
